Annual enrollment is April 7 – May 5, 2021. We know that choosing a health plan is a big decision. You want to be sure to select the health plan that's best for you and your family.
Here is some information to help you decide which UniCare plan is right for you so you can enroll with confidence.
We'd also like to share a message from UniCare's general manager on what we're doing to improve the lives and health of our members and the communities we serve.
What's New Starting July 1, 2021
If you're a renewing UniCare member, it's always a good idea to check out the plans and see what's changed since last year. Here's what will change on July 1 for the PLUS plan:
You will have no member cost for your first three telehealth visits with a contracted behavioral health provider each plan year.
The fitness reimbursement is expanding. In addition to fitness clubs, you will also be eligible to receive reimbursement of up to $100 per family per plan year on other fitness activities such as yoga and Zumba classes, personal trainers, and sports teams.
Our new Whole Health, Whole You program gives you tools to help you engage with your health, work on lifestyle changes, and connect with specialized health professionals and health coaches, no matter where you are.
You can access your Whole Health, Whole You benefits from your mobile device with our new Sydney Health mobile app, where you can find everything you need to know about your health plan – personalized and all in one place. You can quickly check your benefits and claims, and view and use your digital member ID card. You can also track fitness activity and explore health topics and wellness programs that spark your interest. Download the Sydney Health app on your mobile device to register. (The Sydney Health mobile app will replace the current Mobile Health Consumer on July 1, 2021.)
The tiers for specialty group practices in Massachusetts will not change on July 1, 2021. So if your doctor stays at the same group practice, his or her tier will remain the same for the new plan year. There will also be no tier changes for Massachusetts hospitals for PLUS plan members on July 1.
Our virtual annual enrollment kit
This kit includes materials to help you learn about UniCare's three non-Medicare plans: Basic, PLUS, and Community Choice, so you can decide which one best fits your needs.
Our short video can also help you choose the plan that's right for you.
