What's New Starting July 1, 2021
If you're a renewing UniCare member, it's always a good idea to check out the plans and see what's changed since last year. Here's what will change on July 1 for the Medicare Extension plan:
The fitness reimbursement is expanding. In addition to fitness clubs, you will also be eligible to receive reimbursement of up to $100 per plan year on other fitness activities such as yoga and Zumba classes, personal trainers, and sports teams.
UniCare's Sydney Health mobile app will replace the current Mobile Health Consumer app. With Sydney Health, you can find everything you need to know about your health plan – personalized and all in one place. You can quickly check your benefits and claims, and view and use your digital member ID card. You can also track fitness activity and explore health topics and wellness programs that spark your interest. Download Sydney Health on your mobile device to register.

Your deadline to enroll is May 5, 2021. Enroll in one of our plans on the GIC's website. Use myGICLink to complete and submit your digital enrollment form.
Important! If you're a current Medicare Extension member and would like to stay in this plan, you don't have to take any action. Your coverage will continue automatically in the Medicare Extension plan on July 1, 2021.

24-Hour Nurse Line – When you have concerns about your health, call our 24-Hour Nurse Line at 800-424-8814. The Nurse Line's registered nurses are available around the clock to answer your questions or listen to your health concerns. Be sure to select the menu option for the Nurse Line.
