AIM Specialty Health Provides Support for UniCareís Preauthorization Review Process
The UniCare State Indemnity Plan partners with AIM Specialty HealthSM to support the review process for certain
services and procedures that require preapproval.
Our Provider Reference Sheet effective July 1, 2018, lists UniCare’s precertification requirements and indicates whether a service will be reviewed by AIM or by UniCare.

About AIMís web-based application
Our partnership with AIM lets our providers use AIMís web-based application for services reviewed by AIM.
Providers can log into the AIM application and complete the intake process for certain procedures, as noted
below. In many cases, the entire review and approval process can be done online. Providers who already use
AIMís web application will not have to re-register for UniCare.
