For Providers: How to File Claims Electronically

Electronic Data Interchange Services

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the computer-to-computer transfer of transactions and information. We encourage providers to submit claims electronically for improved productivity and efficiency.

The electronic Payor ID number for the UniCare State Indemnity Plan is 80314.

Providers who would like to file claims electronically should contact their practice management system vendor to determine if the vendor submits to one of UniCare's EDI trading partners. (Your practice management system vendor is your day-to-day contact for computer system hardware and software that you currently use to transmit claims electronically.)
